Ability's, A Web Site that gives access to users with a disability or limited skills. An indexed system of 100's of pages giving information and providing 1000's of links. A very good site indeed. This is the text only display version, UK.

Access.Adobe.Com, is a tool that allows blind and visually impaired users to read any document in Adobe PDF format. The tool converts PDF documents into simple HTML or ASCII text which can then be read by a number of common screen reading programs that synthesize the HTML as audible speech.

BBC News Online, Keep up to date with the British news and International news at this site. This is an excellent site which I use regularly. This is the text only version of the BBC News Online site.

Blind Disability-Related Resources, This is a site which you have to visit, many links to many organizations which deal with blindness and other disabilities, mostly American sites but some are British ones.

Blindness-Related Resources on the Web and Beyond, This is an excellent web site and full of good Information.

Braille Institute, is a private, nonprofit organization providing free programs and services for Southern California residents who are blind or visually impaired. Dedicated to enabling children and adults who are legally blind to regain their independence and self-esteem through adjustment training, counseling and public education.

Camera Obscura, This is certainly an excellent site full of informative links to some of the best pages on the net by blind people and sites especially for blind people. You will not be disappointed with this site.

Cardiff Institute for the Blind, A very nice site with lots of info.

International Blind Sports Association (IBSA), Represents blind sports all over the world.

National Library for the Blind, The website aims to provide an electronic library resource for the visually impaired community. The site includes contact details, discussion list, links to other organisations and electronic texts, membership information, news, information about books, and the opportunity to browse books allowing readers to make their own choices, They have something for everyone, from astrophysics to Wilbur Smith, from braille scores of Mozart to books about Oasis and more besides. They can provide you with a braille book on your doorstep the next day or you can download an electronic file instantly from this web site.

Royal National College for the Blind, UK.

Royal National Institute for the Blind, The RNIB is Britain's biggest organization for blindness.The site contains faq sheets on almost every subject about blindness, and lots more. They also campaign for blind people rights. A very informative site and one that must be visited by all who are blind or those who care for a blind person. I have great respect for the RNIB.
